October was a tough one! Not gonna lie….
October could easily qualify as the most difficult month in my life!
In the period of three (short) weeks, my extremely active Dad had a massive heart attack and was literally minutes from death (according to his doctor), I failed my road test (after spending months and months of practice and instruction, and the SATs that I have been preparing for (10 hours/week for 3 months) didn’t turn out as well as I hoped.
All I can say is that I thank the lord that these three things happened! Yes I’m thankful that October happened! Yeah, yeah yeah…I know…you’re probably thinking this girl is crazy!
But through all these adversities, I’ve been given opportunities. An opportunity to appreciate and love my family and make many more memories for years to come, and another chance to practice and prepare for a re-take on my road test, and another month to #bemybest and prepare to re-take SATs in November and get the results that I have been prepping for! That’s right – these opportunities will just make me stronger!
So when I reflect on October, I’ll look at it as the month that gave me another chance to learn and grow and that if it wasn’t for those experiences, I wouldn’t have the second chance that I have today. These second chances will not only mold the person I am today, but will shape the person I will be tomorrow and the next day. And to that I thank October for making me stronger!
Follow up: My Dad, who is the strongest person I know, is doing well, gaining strength every day and recovering well.
I passed my Road Test on 10/23!
Prepping for SATs taking on 11/7.
