Fall Ball is a special time of year for LAX’ers. From mid-September through November, LAX’ers of all ages and sizes return to the field with their school teammates for a period of self-discovery. New rules are in play, freshmen and transfers look to make an impression, coaches emphasize skills and team building, players returning from injuries try to get re-acclimated to the game and their teammates, and for Varsity Teams, we begin to lay the foundation in hopes of what can be built upon and channeled in the path towards a State Championship when the real games start in the Spring!
When you’re from Northern New York, Fall Ball is a time when you reconnect with friends and enjoy the beauty that nature has to offer, but you can also freeze your tail feathers off! Which is the case of the last few games in my Glimpse of Fall Ball Highlight Video below. No matter how many times my Parents tell me to “dress warm, it’s going to be cold in the morning“…. you think to yourself….yeah okay, but it was just 78 degrees yesterday! Then when you step out on that field and 38 degrees feels like 10 degrees…you are thankful that you actually listened to good ‘ole mom!
